ADVANCING THE SCIENCE: THE LATEST IN ALZHEIMER’S AND DEMENTIA RESEARCH
Join us as Claire Day, Chief Mission and Program Strategy Officer, Alzheimer’s Association shares how Alzheimer’s is a global health problem with over 7 million people living with the disease in the US alone. Tremendous gains have been made in the understanding of the science and basic biology underlying Alzheimer’s and other dementias. These advances are leading to great strides in strategies for prevention, detection, diagnostics, and therapeutic interventions. The Alzheimer’s Association is a global leader in research, mobilizing the field to advance the vision of a world without Alzheimer’s and all other dementia.
HELPFUL HUB - COMMUNITY RESOURCE PANEL
Get to know some of the many community resources available for those living with Alzheimer’s or other dementias, their families and caregivers. Panelists will provide an overview of programs focusing on the importance of fall prevention, home safety and getting regular hearing and vision checks to help keep the brain in optimal health and as a proactive approach to reducing isolation and supporting brain health in our community.
