Keeping the Peace: The Complexities of Modern Day Families

Del Oro Caregiver Resource Center in partnership with Kaiser Permanente present:

Caregiver Academy

Caregiving can become especially challenging when siblings or family members disagree, making it difficult to navigate long-standing roles and complex dynamics. This presentation will explore ways to ease the process through proactive conversations about financial, legal, and end-of-life matters, helping families feel more prepared and confident. Participants will learn strategies for effective planning and for strengthening communication, even when distance separates loved ones. The workshop also addresses the unique challenges of long-distance caregiving and offers practical guidance on maximizing available resources and using technology to stay connected. Attendees will gain tools to hold productive family meetings, assess care needs, and stay informed and supported throughout the caregiving journey.
