There are several ways to connect to information & services at Del Oro:

Please call (916) 728-9333 or toll free at (800) 635-0220 to speak with a member of our staff who will conduct an initial screening before setting up an intake appointment with a Family Consultant.

ONLINE VIA CARENAV
CareNav is a free and secure online service that allows you to access quality information and support as you navigate your unique caregiving experience. By joining, you will complete an initial screening (independent of Del Oro staff); once you get connected to Del Oro, you will develop a more customized dashboard with tailored resources. 


Statewide Resources

 

The California Caregiver Resource Center (CRC) system consists of 11 sites across the state that support unpaid family caregivers by providing essential services. As part of this system, Del Oro has the opportunity to share resources with our sister agencies and therefore expand our offerings to clients. From news about pertinent policy issues to unique educational opportunities, our network will connect you to vital tools that help you on your caregiving journey.

Streamlines access to services for people with disabilities, older adults, family members and caregivers.

 

Provides current information on and access to programs and services covered under the Older Americans Act and Older Californians Act.

 

Offers free information, educational programming, and support groups to those caring from a loved one with dementia or Alzheimer’s.

 

Experienced team of professional care managers who can help with various aspects of family planning.

 

Through targeted services and programs, seeks to improve the well-being of people with Parkinson’s Disease and their caregivers by “Building Community for the Journey”

Del Oro strives to keep prospective and current clients informed about local, state, and nationwide caregiving resources and issues as well as opportunities and services at our agency through a mailed newsletter Pathways, regular posts on our social media platforms, and a monthly e-newsletter which you can subscribe to below.

  • Community Resource Finder—Database of dementia and aging-related resources made possible by a collaboration between the Alzheimer’s Association and AARP 

  • 211 Resource Finder—Comprehensive source of information about local resources and services; call 211 to speak to someone, or search by location for online resources and more contact information.

  • Seniors Mobility California Directory—Information on FREE mobility aids and assistive devices in California

Del Oro’s makes its semi-annual publication Pathways available to prospective and current clients to keep them updated on:

  • news about important caregiving issues

  • advocacy and fundraising efforts

  • staff changes (especially retirements & new additions!)

  • original writing from local caregivers (including poetry, fiction, & non-fiction)
