Who We are
Del Oro Caregiver Resource Center is part of a statewide system of resource centers serving family caregivers. Founded in 1987, our mission is to improve the well being of caregivers and provide support throughout the care giving process.
History
More than 25 years ago, a small task force of families and community leaders in San Francisco came together to create support services for those struggling to provide long term care for a loved one who was diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease, stroke, Parkinson's disease and other debilitating disorders. The task force's early efforts were responsible for legislation that formed the statewide network of Caregiver Resource Centers in California.
